Reston Town Center has cancelled Concerts on the Green for Saturday. A tentative rain date for Sycthian is Sept. 10.

Reston Patch apologizes for the somewhat thin coverage of the two biggest stories of the week: Tuesday's earthquake and the upcoming hurricane.

We're a fulltime staff of one, and that staff decamped to California with a little R & R with her family this week. San Francisco was lovely (and quake-free) and I had one of the best meals ever in Sonoma.

But we are back now, and ready for action (though I think those of us on the west side of the eye will escape with just a big rain event. No, I am not Meterologist, but I have covered hurricanes before).

While the folks at Reston Town Center say as of Friday, Saturday night's Concerts on the Town with Scythian will go on as scheduled at 7 p.m. Check RTC's website Saturday for updated info. Also open is Reston Farmers Market at Lake Anne, 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.
