Reston 2020 Wants Your Opinion on Issues

Advocacy group has online survey to find out what's important to residents.

Advocacy group Reston 2020 wants your opinion about the issues most important to residents.

The group has a short online survey up on its website asking you to rank the issues most important to you. Among some of the choices: Education, transportation, recreation, development and Reston Association covenants.

The survey will be active until Jan. 9, but Reston 2020 will offer a look at the rankings so far each Monday.

To access the survey, click here or go to http://reston2020.blogspot.com.

Thanks Reston Patch for making the broader Reston public aware of this opportunity to rank their concerns on Reston's issues. Participation shot up this morning with the publication of this article and we certainly welcome more responses from Restonians.
I would note that a few have reported trouble accessing the survey. So far as we can tell, this is a function of the way the user's computer is set up. Much as I hate to say it, you may want to use Internet Explorer if you are having trouble. You might also want to check your privacy settings--cookies, etc. Thank you to all of you who have already taken the survey. I think it will be very helpful in helping RCA and Reston 2020 sort out the community's priorities.

It does not matter who is bringing this item to the forefront: rules should not be adjusted everyRead More time it is convenient. I seem to remember someone who just had to resign because they no longer lived in Reston. Not having been privy to all the politics in town, any adult with a functioning brain should have known or been told by their expert real estate agent, that the property being purchased was not within Reston boundaries and thereby disqualifying them from office within the established rules.

Molly-you have hit it on the head! We shouldn't be starting down this slippery slope of ruleRead More changing for 1 person.I do not know this individual , but that is not the issue here.
