Gallery: Holiday Fun at Lake Anne Plaza

Celebrating the season with Jingle on Lake Anne and annual menorah lighting.

It was a weekend full of holiday celebrations at Lake Anne Plaza as Santa arrived by boat on Saturday and Chabad of Reston-Herndon hosted its annual outdoor menorah lighting on Sunday.

In true Reston fashion, Santa arrived by pontoon boat at Lake Anne Plaza on Saturday, greeted by warm sunshine and a cheering crowd. His visit was part of Jingle on Lake Anne, an annual Christmas celebration that included activities for the whole family. Craft markets, a petting zoo, cookie decorating, and, of course visits with Santa.

Sunday was the first full day of Hanukkah. To commemorate the occasion, Chabad led a menorah lighting on the plaza on Sunday evening.

A large crowd watched the lighting of an ice menorah, and then sang Hanukkah songs by the lake front. After the menorah lighting ceremony, latkes and doughnuts were served in the Reston Community Center Lake Anne.

It does not matter who is bringing this item to the forefront: rules should not be adjusted everyRead More time it is convenient. I seem to remember someone who just had to resign because they no longer lived in Reston. Not having been privy to all the politics in town, any adult with a functioning brain should have known or been told by their expert real estate agent, that the property being purchased was not within Reston boundaries and thereby disqualifying them from office within the established rules.
