THANK YOU to everyone who participated in Dr. Tisseront's 8th Annual Halloween Candy Buy-Back Event on Monday!

Dr. Tisseront's 8th Annual Halloween Candy Buy-Back benefiting Children's National and our Troops overseas was held on Monday Nov. 4th from 12-4.   Over 1/2 a ton of left-over Halloween candy was collected!!  Dr. Tisseront donated $2 per pound of candy-  $1 per pound went to Children's, and $1 went to the child/family donating!  Many families chose to donate their dollar as well!  The official tally was 1,575 pounds of candy collected in all, with all candy being shipped overseas to our Troops.   Dr. Tisseront was able to donate just over $3700 to Children's!   A very special shout out to OAK HILL ELEMENTARY who brought 397 pounds of our total from their school alone!  Wow!!  Fun was had by all, and the hot apple cider was especially welcome with the start of some cold fall weather!  A letter-writing station was very popular and we had many letters and pictures of appreciation to add to the boxes of candy being sent to our Troops. Thank you to everyone who came out in support of this annual event!!  We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!  You can check photos of the event on our Flickr page right here:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/tisserontortho/with/10691585866/
