World of Beer, which announced last week it has signed a lease for space at Reston Town Center, is planning on a spring opening, says owner Evan Metz.
Metz says Reston is an ideal place for World of Beer, which is a Florida-based national franchise. Metz also owns the WOB in Ballston, which opened in summer 2012.
"I just absolutely love the Reston Town Center," said Metz. "It is a great lifestyle center with young professionals and the right vibe. I think it needs a World of Beer."
WOB will be located in The Avant, Boston Properties' new residential and retail building on Town Square Street that is currently under construction. The restaurant will occupy 4,500 square feet (about 180-200 seats with a patio), says Metz.
WOB features a full menu with specialities such as crab pretzels, flatbread pizza and sandwiches. There are also about 500 beers that rotate through the menu, including 50 on tap, says Metz.
WOB will also have drink specials nightly and happy hour Monday through Friday, as well as live music Thursdays through Saturdays.
