Third annual "Be AMYazing" Reston Youth Triathlon ran through Reston Sunday.

Young triathletes raced through South Reston Sunday at the third annual "Be AMYazing" Reston Youth Triathlon.

The triathlon for ages 6-15 raises money for the Childhood Brain Tumor Foundation. In the first two years of the race, the event has raised more than  $16,000 to cancer research.

The race is organized by a group of Reston girls who formed a non-profit in 2008 after their friend Amy Boyle lost her battle with brain cancer.
