South Lakes Chipotle Opens Jan. 29

Site will be third Chipotle in Reston.

Reston's new Chipotle at South Lakes Village Center is set to open Jan. 29, store management said.

The location had originally eyed a Jan. 22 opening day. This will be the third Chipotle in Reston. Others are on Sunset Hills Road and at Reston Town Center.

Interested in a job? Chipotle is hiring for the new location as well as the one on Sunset Hills.

I just had the worst experience at this location. This miserable girl behind the counter, named Allison, was the meanest, rudest, nastiest person I have ever encountered in food service. The food was cold and awful. NEVER AGAIN.

Dear Mr. RestonEats, I have been a loyal customer at this Chipotle since it opened. One of the reasons I keep going back (besides the excellent food) is the positive, and often hilariously funny disposition of that person (only one person there by that name). Especially on a rough day, I look forward to a good attitude and usually some (admittedly dry) humor. Could it be that she was, possibly, trying to be funny? I say it's time to try again. Respectfully, A loyal Chipotle customer

I have to agree with EagerEater. I've been to this Chipotle at least two nights a week since the day it opened and I must say, the person in question is always chatting with me about my day, and knows my order right down to the extra cheese. She always seems to have a wonderful disposition and keeps herself sunny even with her dry sense of humor. I am loyal to this specific Chipotle, despite its occasional flaws because I look forward to seeing her at the end of the line.

I also agree with EagerEater. The girl RestonEats has complained about was one of the only reasons I had to visit this location. She was always very witty and helpful, and it was nice to have someone sincere and of true substance at a mere burrito joint. Unfortunately, she no longer works at that location- so I'm pretty sure that I won't be frequenting this location further. She was one of the few people who worked there that really seemed to take pride in her job or that store itself. (I heard one of the employees laughing about her being "let go") I'd much rather frequent a location that values its hard workers, as opposed to keeping an army of kids that appear more interested in rushing me through so that they can lean against the counter as though they only come to life when someone walks up. This location needs to hire more employees like her before others follow my lead.

Reston Eats, I personally know the person to whom you refer, and from what I heard, you haven't even begun to tell half the story. Your ego got in your way, given the fact that the humor behind the comment was way above your head. You cost her her job through an anonymous post. Very brave. If she was so offensive, why didn't you summon the manager immediately? As for Chipotle, shame on that outfit for terminating someone without so much as inquiring directly from the employee the nature of the circumstances. The customer ain't always right. Boycott time.
