Now Open: Reston Farm Market

After being closed for about a year, The Reston Farm Market has reopened with a fall festival that will run through mid-November.

The market, located at Route 7 and Baron Cameron, was formerly Norman's Farm Market and was a popular spot year-round, but particularly for pumpkin and cider season.

The re-opened, seasonal market has bounce houses for the little ones, a small petting zoo, a kids' train ride, and, of course, pumpkins and cider for sale. On the weekends, there is live entertainment and face painting.

The market is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

I didn't realize the farm market had reopened, or I would have brought my granddaughter before Halloween--she loved the fall festival last year! I swung by today and everything had been dismantled (presumably because of Sandy). Are they putting it up again for the next couple of weeks? I'd dearly love to bring her this coming Saturday!

Readers - this story is from last fall. The market has since closed for good as far as I know, though it might have had something going on the last few weeks as a temporary fall festival. Sorry.
