Now Open at Lake Anne: Baby Blossom

Boutique features high-end items for the smallest Restonians.

Baby Blossom, a boutique that features a wide variety of items for new parents, opened Oct. 29 at Lake Anne Plaza.

David and Bonnie Goldberg have owned the for five years. When it came time to expand, Reston was a good fit, says David Goldberg.

"We have always loved Lake Anne," said Goldberg. "We have had many requests from customers from Reston, Ashburn, Sterling about opening up in the area."

The store, located at 1631 Washington Plaza West, is a brightly painted addition to the historic plaza. It specializes in high-quality stroller brands such as Bugaboo, Phil & Teds and Peg Perego. The store also carries car seats, cribs, feeding accessories, toys and pretty much anything a new parent needs.

While some of the high-end strollers can top $500, Goldberg points out that there are many small gift items, books and accesories, so one can also pick up something without spending a lot.

"We try to have things in different price ranges," he said.

Baby Blossom also offers personalized customer service. The Goldbergs got into the baby business after their own child was born and they could not find anyone with the information they needed, said David Goldberg.

At the Lake Anne store, there is a 10-lb. "stunt baby" doll that customers can put in a stroller to take for a test drive on the plaza. The staff will also talk you through how to fold a stroller, assemble a high chair or pick out a baby gift.

Just don't ask them to come over for the 2 a.m. feeding.

Baby Blossom is at 1631 Washington Plaza. Phone: 571-313-1717. Email: info@babyblossom.com. Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday - Friday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Website: www.babyblossom.com.

The store has a gift registry and online ordering.
