Closed: Lady of America Fitness at Hunters Woods
Women's gym abruptly leaves building after losing its lease.
Lady of America Fitness Center at Hunters Woods Village Center abruptly closed on Monday.
The owner said he lost his lease at Hunters Woods and will not be reopening elsewhere. Lady of America, which also housed Reston Martial Arts, had been located at 2245 Hunters Woods Plaza for 13 years.
Members of the women-only gym were notified on Monday that the gym was closing immediately due to lease issues. The owner said members will not be charged for October.
Items from the gym - including weights, mats, weight machines and other fixtures, were posted on the online site Rasmus Auctions.
On Tuesday, bidders were wheeling out equipment they had purchased.
