Cafesano To Open Take-Out and Catering Store

the popular Mediterranean restaurant located at South Lakes Village Center, will open a second location just a few doors down from where the current restaurant stands.

The new location - at 11130-C South Lakes Dr., 10 doors down from the current restaurant -  will house Cafesano's catering and takeout operations. This will allow  Cafesano to serve a greater number of people, says Joanne McDaniel, the restaurant's marketing director.

The new store is slated to open in September, she says.

"The new location will have a much larger kitchen, which will allow us to create prepare bigger quantities," said McDaniel. "It will be handy for takeout and lunches to go. We are really excited to be better able to meet the needs of our customers."

Cafesano opened in November of 2005 and is a popular place for those who live or work in South Reston. The annex will help cut down the length of the line at the counter-service restaurant, said McDaniel.

McDaniel said the new store will be better able to accommodate the growing number of office customers ordering large platters and pizza orders. Cafesano will be offering free delivery on orders over $100. The new store will also have call-ahead curbside pickup.

The new store will also have a small market area where customers can buy olive oils, vinegars, pastas, sauces and tubs of Cafesano house-made  dips and salads.
