Athleta Opens in Reston June 13
Women's activewear store opening first Virginia location at Reston Town Center
Athleta, the women's activewear company that is rapidly expanding from a catalogue to storefronts, will open at on June 13.
The company, which is owned by Gap Inc., has been renovating space in two empty stores at at 11900 Market St. The store is known for well-designed running, hiking, yoga, swim and other athletic gear and fashions.
An Athleta spokeswoman says Reston will be Athleta’s sixth opening this year. The company plans to have opened 50 stores by the end of 2013.

Athleta currently has a store in Georgetown. A second Northern Virginia location will open at Tysons Corner in July.
In support of its national partnership with Girls on the Run, Athleta will make a donation to the organization’s local chapter in celebration of the Reston store opening.
