Outstanding Nature Photos on Display at Reston's Parkridge No. 5

Nature images from various local organizations now on display.

A selection of 53 beautiful nature photographs are on display at the East Lobby of Parkridge Building #5, 10780 Parkridge Blvd. in Reston from Jan. 12 through Feb. 22.

The exhibit is free and open to the public.  It includes photos by McLean photographers Susanna Andersson and Susan Teunis.  Many of the photos are available for purchase.

An online gallery of the exhibit can be viewed at http://naturevisions.org/travelingexhibit

Theimages form a traveling exhibit of the very best photos selected from over 750 entries by Northern Virginia photographers for the 2012 Nature Visions Photo Expo.

Since 2002, members of the Reston Photographic Society and five other area clubs have organized this annual Expo.  Today it includes a full-day seminar by a nationally-known photographer, over twenty more lectures and classes, and a marketplace of thirty vendors of equipment, instruction and more.

The Expo's centerpiece is an exhibition of approximately 300 juried nature images by members of six clubs: the Loudoun Photographic Society, the Manassas-Warrenton Camera Club, the McLean Photo Club, the Northern Virginia Photographic Society, the Reston Photographic Society and the Vienna Photographic Society.

The Expo is held annually at the Hylton Center for the Performing Arts in Manassas, just eight minutes south of I-66 Exit 44.  It will take place this year on Friday, Saturday and Sunday November 8-10.

This year the Expo’s keynote speaker is photographer Bryan Peterson, author of Understanding Exposure, Understanding Flash, and several other best-selling instructional photography books.
