The Wait Is Over For Harry Potter Fans

"The Deathly Hallows, Part 2" finally opens in Reston - and everywhere- at 12:01 a.m. Friday.

From Reston Town Center to Tysons Corner to Georgetown, Washington-area Harry Potter fans will be lining up to catch the Friday opening Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2, the final Harry Potter movie.

While all was quiet at on Thursday, fans at Tysons Corner started lining up Thursday morning at the AMC Theaters for the midnight opening.

“I have heard rumors that this showing has been sold out for the past two weeks. People are going to be going before noon,” said Paula Novacki, Harry Potter enthusiast and veteran when it comes to Harry Potter movie openings.

“I’ve been to all of them” said Sean Saadat, who will be dressed up in his custom-made “Snape” outfit, which will be fully equipped with a black cloak, wig, and wand.  “At the last Harry Potter premiere, the line wrapped around the food court and into the parking lot.”

Saadat's advice: “In order to really enjoy the premiere, go at least 6 hours before the show starts. I plan on going at 3 p.m. and I expect it  will  be pretty crazy.”
