It was conceived by architect Ronit Eisenbach and dance artist Sharon Mansur, who were inspired by the history of the planned community of 1960s New Town of Reston and the sculpture and architecture of Lake Anne Plaza.

The installation will be on view through May 21. Sunday's accompanying dance performance explored the ways we perceive, shape and inhabit our world.

The dance performance featured a duet featuring Mansur and longtime collaborator Daniel Burkholder.

The super moon Saturday night was much more spectacular, inspiring, and beautiful, among other qualities, than these floating light boxes in a pond. ...and you can see it once every year--forever.

l loved seeing so many Reston folks out on the Plaza enjoying the performance, the evening, the super moon and one another. We need more events to gather us together.
