Photography Awards

Nationally known nature photographer, lecturer and publisher of the book, The Nature of Reston, Chuck Veatch, will present the winners of The Nature’s Best, Windland Smith Rice International Photography Awards. Over 22,000 images were submitted from 56 countries in this year’s photo competition.

Using images that will appear in the Nature’s Best Photography Exhibition at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, Veatch leads participants on the search for the essence of expression in the art of photography.

Veatch has given programs and judged competitions at the North American Nature Photography Association national convention, the New England Council of Camera Clubs annual meeting, the Meadow Lark Park photo exposition, and every Washington area photography club. He is involved in all aspects of Nature’s Best Photography Magazine and Nature’s Best Photography competitions, including photo selection and editing for exhibitions at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.
