Lake Anne Plaza's 6th Annual Jazz & Blues Festival

Lake Anne is gearing up for their ever popular jazz festival on Saturday, October 6th when they host the 6thAnnual Lake Anne Jazz Festival.  This free, family friendly, all-day event will showcase a variety of talented local emerging artist and national jazz performers.

Singer-Songwriter-Musician Rashida Jolley returns to Lake Anne to headline this year’s event.  She spent the past year on world tours with international mega stars performing in major arenas across the world and gaining a huge fan base, crowning her “The Soul of R&B with the Power of Pop.” She fuses various elements of R&B, Hip Hop, Classical, and Pop music together to produce a melodic and creative ground-breaking style that is all her own.  When she was 7 years old, Rashida began singing lead in her church choir and started studying the harp at the DC Youth Orchestra at age 10. It was her mother’s idea to combine her vocal stylings with the harp, so she began composing songs on the harp which became part of her performance.
