Gift from the HeART - Fine Art Exhibit to Benefit Reston Interfaith

Reston Community Center’s 13th Annual Gifts from the HeART Fine Art Exhibit will be held from November 30 through January 3, 2012 at RCC Lake Anne’s Jo Ann Rose Gallery and new 3-D Gallery.

The exhibit showcases original works of art in a variety of media, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, collage, stained glass, ceramic, sculpture, and mixed media, in a wide range of sizes and prices.

Proceeds will help Reston Interfaith to continue the important work of the Embry Rucker Community Shelter, the Laurel Learning Center and their Community Services Outreach, which includes job counseling, emergency food, and youth programs.

Since the annual exhibit was first held in 1999, Gifts from the HeART has raised approximately $5,000 for Reston Interfaith.

“The Gifts from the HeART exhibit brings artists and community members together for a wonderful cause,” said Cheri Danaher, RCC’s Arts Education Director. “Through this event, everyone involved can enjoy fantastic works of art, celebrate the holidays, and also support those in need in our area.”

The Jo Ann Rose Gallery is located in the Reston Community Center Lake Anne at 1609-A Washington Plaza in Reston, Virginia. The facility is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sundays. The Gallery is not open to the public during rental functions and/or some programs.
