This 8-piece band is assembled from some of the finest R&B and jazz musicians who have spent decades living and playing along Washington’s U Street corridor. Featuring the versatile David Akers on vocals; Robert “Mousey” Thompson, former drummer for the late James Brown; and a couple of horn players, these guys will have you rocking out to hits from the 40s thru today with an emphasis on Motown, R&B, rock and pop.
