The Reston contra dance started in 1983. The house band since the beginning has been the June Apple Band, consisting of a lively mix of fiddle, clarinet, mandolin-banjo-guitar, and piano. Top-notch callers from the Washington area lead the dances. Our dance provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the cold winter months for new and experienced dancers alike.
