Celebrating World Cultures in Reston

Two weekend festivals - the Reston Multicultural Festival and the Latino Festival - give residents a taste of other countries.

This weekend is all about celebrating diversity and world culture in Reston.

Saturday's Reston Multicultural Festival brings music, entertainment, family fun and food to Lake Anne Plaza. The activities begin at 11 a.m. with a naturalization ceremony for some of the area's newest U.S. Citizens.

Admission to the Multicultural Festival is free. The festival runs until 6 p.m. Saturday.

On Sunday, the third annual Latino Festival of Reston takes place at Southgate Community Center from 2 to 7 p.m. There will be games, food, entertainment and family fun that celebrates the culture of Latin America.
