Name: Emily Sennett
School: South Lakes High School
Accomplishment: Sennett finished third in the girls’ 100-yard butterfly (57.89) and ninth in the girls 200 IM (2:11.26) at the Northern Region meet Saturday at Oak Marr Rec Center. She will compete at the Virginia State Swim meet in Virginia Beach Feb.18 and 19.

Key to Awesomeness: Sennett, a Terraset Elementary and Langston Hughes Middle School alumni, is a junior who swims on RSTA's Ridge Heights Sharks summer team. She also trains with the year-round swimming club Machine Aquatics.
Emily was also recently awarded a Gold Key award for a sculpture in the Scholastic Art Competition sponsored by The Alliance for Young Artists and Writers. Her work will be among the student's work on display at Northern Virginia Community College’s Ernst Community Cultural Center in Annandale from Feb. 11 through Feb. 24.
