A time-lapse of the new Silver Line route from Ballston to Wiehle-Reston surfaced Monday, giving viewers a glimpse at the brand new 11-mile extension scheduled to open Saturday, July 26.
MetroForward posted a time-lapse of the new Silver Line route to YouTube Monday, July 31. The video gives viewers a quick glance at the normally 22-minute ride along the new 11-mile extension from Ballston station to the Wiehle-Reston East station.
The first portion of Metro’s Silver Line, which includes five new stations from McLean to Reston, is scheduled to open July 26. Upon completion of the second phase in 2018, the $5.6 billion rail line will connect Dulles Airport to Downtown Washington, D.C.
