VIDEO: Get to Know the Five New Silver Line Metro Stations
A look at the five Silver Line Phase One stations, including the Wiehle Avenue station in Reston.

With the 11.4-mile Phase One of the new Metro Silver Line opening this year, Fairfax County distributed the video above for residents and travelers to get to know the five new stations on that portion of the line: McLean, Tysons Corner, Greensboro, Spring Hill and Wiehle-Reston East.
You'll also see cameos of points of interest in Arlington, where the Silver and Orange lines follow the same path, including Rosslyn, Clarendon and Ballston.

McLean Station is about eight minutes away from East Falls Church, where the Silver Line branches off from the Orange Line.
The four Tysons-area stations are about two minutes apart, according to the video. Most of Tysons Corner will be within a half-mile of a station. The Wiehle-Reston East Station is about eight minutes beyond Tysons.

Metro plans to test simulated regular weekend service on the Silver Line, likely later this month.
