VIDEO: County Republicans Claim Intimidation Against Fairfax Democratic Committee General Counsel

Republicans accuse John Farrell, Fairfax County Democratic Committee General Counsel and onetime Reston Association board candidate, of voter intimidation.

The Fairfax County Republican Committee has accused John Farrell, General Counsel of the Fairfax County Democratic Committee, of intimidation against a Republican employee at the Fairfax County Government Center.

Farrell, a longtime Reston resident, ran for an at-large Reston Association Board seat in 2012, and was briefly a candidate in 2013, before withdrawing.

According to FCRC Chairman Jay McConville, the acts in the above video, taken during the election canvass on Sunday, Nov. 10, constitute behavior that is "unacceptable from any election volunteer, but completely outrageous coming from a political party's General Counsel."

The FCRC has sent their requests for Farrell's resignation to Fairfax County Democratic Committee Chair Cesar del Aguila and Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chair Sharon Bulova.
