Sign Guest Book for Navy Yard Shooting Victim Mary Knight

"Mary was spunky, sassy and full of life," says one colleague.

Friends of Reston's Mary DeLorenzo Knight remembered her at a memorial service Tuesday night in Fairfax. Many others are uploading photos and messages of condolences on the Everly Funeral Home website.

Knight, 51, was shot and killed in last week's shooting rampage at the Washington Navy Yard. Knight was a mother of two who had recently been promoted in her cybersecurity position at Naval Sea Systems Command. She also was an adjunct professor of IT at Northern Virginia Community College.

Meanwhile, FBI officials held a news conference Wednesday adding more details about Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis. Officials say he acted alone and that etchings on his shotgun gave insight into Alexis' mental illness.
