Reston Town Center's PassionFish Makes Washingtonian's Top 100 List

Restaurant aims to take 'tri-coastal seafood theme to a global level.'

PassionFish, located at Reston Town Center, has been named to Washingtonian Magazine's 100 Very Best Restaurants 2013 list

PassionFish is the next generation of Chef/Owner Jeff Tunks’s flagship restaurant, DC Coast, taking its tri-coastal seafood theme to a global level.

Per the article:

"A spirit of largesse drives this light-filled dining room in Reston Town Center, where ceilings are hung with trailing glass bubbles. Meals begin with crab dip and French bread and end with marshmallow-studded fudge, both on the house. In between, Chesapeake oysters and Wellfleet clams make a showing on the lavish raw bar, sushi arrives in a roster of offbeat rolls, and Mad Men-era classics such as a wedge salad and lobster bisque are done with smart twists."

This is the fourth year in a row PassionFish has made Washingtonian's list.

According to Tunks:

"The cuisine of PassionFish represents the bounty of the world's oceans, lakes, seas, and waterways, reflecting flavors and natural resources of the Mediterranean, Europe, Asia, and the Americas in dishes from Classic Peruvian Style Ceviche with Fresh Lime Juice, Red Onion, and Habanero, to a “Basket of Clams” – Crispy Fried Ipswich Clams with Butter Pickle Tartar Sauce, to a Fisherman’s Wharf Cioppino with Prawns, Clams, Mussels and Crusty Warm Garlic Bread."
