Reston Forecast Calls for 90 Percent Chance of Snow Thursday

Snow possible Thursday night and Friday morning, along with low temperatures and high winds.

The National Weather service has called for a 90 percent chance of snow to hit Reston the night of Thursday, Jan. 2 and heading into Friday morning. 

According to the NWS, the forecast for Thursday is "snow, mainly before 3 a.m. Low around 21. Blustery, with a northwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 19 to 24 mph after midnight."

They also said winds could gust as high as 37 miles per hour. 

Snow accumulation is predicted at one to two inches. 

For Friday morning, the forecast is for a "slight chance of snow," about 20 percent, before 9 a.m.
