Reston Family Seeks Support in Wake of Fiance/Mother's Passing
Tameka Fitts died three days after giving birth, leaving her newborn son and fiance behind.
On Oct. 3, Tameka "Meka" Fitts gave birth to a baby boy, Asad Dodson Sherwa Magan. Three days later, she unexpectedly passed away at the age of 29, leaving behind her newborn son and fiance Sherwa Magan.
Friends created a GoFundMe drive just after Fitts's passing, which went to pay for her funeral expenses. Now the family has created another drive to help them through this difficult time.
Per the fundraising page, "Tameka was a phenomenal friend, sister, supporter, daughter, mother, and life partner. She left behind two "COOL GUYS" (as she would have put it); her life partner Sherwa "Wop", and her newborn son Asad to carry on her strength, positive energy, love and legacy."
GoFundMe is a crowdfunding site with no fundraising deadlines or limits, each donation goes directly to the recipient right away.
