Reston Association Kicks off 'My Community' Contest
Make a short film to show "your Reston."
To commemorate Reston's 50th birthday in 2014, Reston Association is running a "My Community" video contest. Show what Reston means to you in a short video for a chance to win cash prizes and be part of a larger project for Reston's big celebration in 2014.
The contest runs through Dec. 31.Entrants should send in a short video (3 minutes or less) showing why they love to Live, Work, Play or Get Involved in Reston.
Qualifying videos will be posted to Reston Association’s Facebook page. Winning videos will be shown during Reston’s 50th Anniversary Celebration at Reston Community Center on April 5, 2014. Find official contest rules and get required forms here.
Prizes: Grand Prize - $1,000 Most Popular - $250 Honorable Mention - $125 (4)
Open to Reston residents, workers and members, 13 years or older.
The contest complements The Reston Story, a feature-length film produced by Reston Historic Trust and Reston Community Center. Read more about the movie here or www.therestonfilm.com.
