RCC Kicks Off MLK Day With March Through Reston
Annual event features awards and speakers.
The had a full slate of activities on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Day. The theme of the celebration: "Are We Keeping The Promise?"
A large group assembled at and made the walk down Glade Drive to the Reston Community Center - Hunters Woods. They sang civil rights anthems such as "We Shall Overcome," to remember King's role in the movement and what the day is all about.
