National Weather Service Issues Weather Alert for Northern Virginia
Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 8 p.m. for metro DC area.
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Northern Virginia.
The watch Wednesday afternoon includes the entire Northern Virginia region, including Fairfax County, Arlington County, Loudoun County, Prince William County and the cities of Falls Church, Alexandria, Fairfax City, Manassas and Manassas Park.
The watch will continue until 8 p.m. tonight. The watch also includes the District of Columbia.
