They're not alone: The City of Manassas was rethinking the snow clearing budget after nearly doubling what it had planned to spend — and that was before Monday's storm.

Don't plan on catching a bus anytime soon. All Fairfax Connector bus service has been suspended for the rest of the day on Monday. They will announce tomorrow’s service level this evening.

Three runways were open at Dulles International Airport, but few flights were operating. All runways were closed at Reagan National Airport, but terminal facilities and a few concessions were open. More info.

The Virginia Department of Transportation has road condition cameras and locators for the nearest snow plow (which can include details about the truck and the width of the plow).

As of 7:30 a.m., Dominion Power had reports of just over 900 customers without power, most of them in Fauguier County along Interstate 66. NOVEC was reporting no power outages. Outage maps and tips from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management.

More Snow: The rain came as expected and so did the ice. Now, it's snow time. The National Weather Service now says expect 5 to 8 inches before the precipitation ends late this afternoon.

We're guessing some students at GMU will like the idea of sleeping in Monday: George Mason University administrative offices are closed and classes cancelled Monday, March 3, due to inclement weather.

Same with the students at NOVA, where day and evening classes and activities are canceled Monday, March 3, due to bad weather. Admin offices closed also.
