Ice Age: At 97, Simon Hits the Trails

Reston founder Robert E. Simon tries dog sledding on Canadian vacation.

We know, we know - you've seen one vacation photo, you've seen almost all.

But when you are 97 and gliding down a dog sled trail, well, that is something special. Newsworthy, even.

Reston founder Robert E. Simon and his wife, Cheryl Terio Simon, recently returned from Western Canada. The Simons, along with Restonians Ron and Helen Dunn and Margaret and Shashi Gupta, went dog sledding and hiking. Simon, who turns 98 in April, also navigated a suspension bridge over a rainforest.
