Bouie Honored by YMCA at Annual Gala

Reston's Bill Bouie was honored with the Joseph L. Ritchey Community Service Award for 2012 at the YMCA FAirfax County Reston's 13th annual Gala on Saturday.

Bouie, a telecommunications executive, serves in many roles as a volunteer in Reston and in Fairfax County, particularly for youth sports and recreation. He is a board member of the YMCA.

Bouie has served on the Reston Community Center Board of Governors since 2003 and is the chairman of the Fairfax County Park Authority Board.

He is also on the board of Initiative for Public Art Reston (IPAR), past president of Reston Little League and a former longtime chair of Reston Youth Baseball. Bouie also serves on the board of Wolf Trap Center for the Performing Arts and Public Links, Inc.
