A Christmas Gift for Reston Interfaith

German Forces donate $12,732 raised at annual Christkindlmarket.

The German Armed Forces Command's Reston office presented Reston Interfaith with a check for $12,732 in front of Reston Town Center's Christmas tree last week

The money was raised at the armed forces' annual Christkindlmarket holiday festival and craft bazaar held in early December.

The Christkindlmarket is a popular community event that offers German culture and cuisine for the residents of Northern Virginia.

“Support from partners like the German Armed Forces helps provide vital resources for our neighbors need, and is what makes Reston such a wonderful community,” said Cathy Hoskinson, Senior Director of Resource Development at Reston Interfaith.

What a great annual event and contribution to the local community not only in funds but also German culture and cuisine. Many thanks to all that made this event possible and Frohe Weihnachten!
