Say what? E.W. Jackson, Virginia’s Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, is drawing criticism for saying  the Democratic Party is “anti-God” — and Christians should disassociate from it.

“I believe that the Democrat Party has become an anti-God party, I think it’s an anti-life party, I think it’s an anti-family party,” Jackson said last week in a radio interview, according to Salon. “And these are all things I think Christians hold to very dearly.” (Listen to audio of the exchange here.)

Where does the Republican party find these candidates. You think they would have learned by now. I'm sure his tyrannical religious perspective will endear him to the teabaggers, but as usual will fall short of what the general public desires for leadership.

Janet is an extraordinary person as well as an extraordinary stateswoman. She embodies everything that someone would want in a leadership role. Her view on contemporary issues as well as traditional issues is outstanding and reflects her constituents. As such she is an outstanding role model not only for politicians but for young women as well.
