Business Watch: Rain-Damaged Cars, Snow-Loving Dogs and Openings & Closings

Business news to know this week in Reston.

1. Buyer Beware - AAA Mid-Atlantic is warning car buyers to be on the lookout for damaged cars that are flooding the marketplace.

Over 200,000 cars were labeled as “flood damaged” after Hurricane Sandy. Many of those cars are showing up in Virginia and down the East Coast, AAA says.

2. Still not open - Community Canteen's second location at 12011 Sunset Hills Rd. It is about a month behind schedule due to permitting delays. A sign on the door offers apologies from the general manager.

3. Closing soon - Reston Tailoring will leave Hunters Woods Village Center at the end of the week, in case you want to pick up any items. The family-owned operation, which has been at Hunters Woods for 30 years, will reopen at Lake Anne Plaza soon.

4. Moving in - Florida-based ThreatTrack Security has opened an office in Reston, meant to help the cybersecurity company better reach government customers and hire talent.

ThreatTrack says it plans to employ about 50 in the new office, most of whom will be new hires.
