The end of the year is a great time to stop for a moment and count your blessings.
Sometimes the things that are going well for us are overshadowed by those that are not. Constantly focusing on what is not going well in your life can lead to unnecessary sadness and depression.
Each and every day is an opportunity to spend a few moments making yourself aware of all the good things that are going on in your life. Focusing on your accomplishments has a profound affect on how you will feel mentally and physically.
For the rest of this year and into 2013, try "adopting an attitude of gratitude." Focusing on your accomplishments sends measurable, healthful signals to your body changing your hormones and body chemistry for the better. It will also lower the stress on your body and mind helping you enjoy your life more.
It only takes a few moments a day and I find that it is time well spent. Please join me as we take a few moments to count our blessings and move toward a happier and healthier 2013.
