- Local every day in
Flippin' Pizza is small in size, large on personality.
The West Coast chain, which recently expanded into several DC-area locations, has become a popular spot at South Lakes Shopping Center.
With good reason, too. They do only a couple of things, and they do them well. Here is what Flippin' Pizza sells: pizza, one salad, soda, and some very delicious garlic knots appetizer bread.
While there are the usual kid-friendly favorites (pepperoni, sausage), Flippin' also sells pizza adults like too, such as white pizza with three cheeses, pesto and artichoke.
Flippin prides itself on all-natural, fresh ingredients too. The dough is freshly made, and contains no oil, sugar or high-fructose corn syrup.
There are dining options too. They sell by the (very large, thin-crust, New York style) slice for eat in, but beware the restaurant is small. This is the not the place to go with a large group, unless you feel like spreading out to a couple of tables.
The also have takeout and delivery, in case you want to feel like you are in Brooklyn, only at home.

I'm a fan, but the pizzas could arrive warmer when ordering delivery.
