What's Up With That?
You may notice a large number of soldiers marching down Glade Drive on Tuesday.
You might see the German military marching through Reston Tueday morning.
Relax. We are not being invaded.
The German Armed Forces Command, which has an office in Reston, will be conducting its annual training march. The troops will meet at Lake Audubon Pool at 8:15 a.m. and walk the streets and paths around Lake Audubon - including a large stretch of Glade Drive - twice.

They are excellent neighbors, involved in the community and appreciative of what the US offers. Where my parents live, their command has adopted an orphanage in Mexico and even with all the drug cartel violence, have maintained the visits and help to the neediest of Mexican children.
