Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine Sworn Into Office

Vice President Joe Biden swore in the former Virginia Governor as a U.S. Senator Thursday in Washington.

Tim Kaine took the oath of office Thursday at the Capitol, starting his term as U.S. Senator.

Kaine, 54, was Virginia's governor from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, he was Virginia's lieutenant governor and mayor of Richmond.
