The sounds of strumming ukuleles will fill Lake Anne Plaza when the Ukulele Festival returns on July 14.
The free music festival will run from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. It will feature performances by several internationally known and local ukulele musicians, music demonstrations, open to the public jam session, beer garden, festival vendors, and other family friendly activities.
The event will kickoff during the Saturday Farmers & Arts/Craft Market. The festival will be held rain or shine.
Returning to headline the festival this year will be popular Baltimore-based ukulele aficionado Victoria Vox, who performed at the festival in 2010. The festival will also feature performers Bruce Hutton (old-time folk), Kathy & Marv Reitz (Swing),Lelehuna (Hawaiian), Pat Quinn & Gina DeSimone (Blues), Aloha Boys (Hawaiian), The Paul Hemmings Uketet (Jazz) and local girls duo The Sweater Set (Contemporary).

The festival is hosted by the Lake Anne Merchants with support from the Reston Community Center, Friends of Lake Anne (FOLA), Northern Virginia Magazine and the Northern Virginia Ukulele Ensemble.
