Storm Tosses Boats On Reston Lakes

Advice on how to get your craft back to where it belongs.

Thursday's massive rainstorm in Reston caused all kinds of damage to basements, cars and other property.

For lakefront homeowners, docks were temporarily underwater and boats were submerged, moved and lifted to land by the storm that

Lake Audubon homeowner Paul Hartke reports that pontoon and dock boats were left "in a variety of precarious positions."

Hartke said one Lake Audubon boat floated completely on to the land of the nearby townhouses.  Another had been lifted in front and left partly submerged.
