Reston Driver Charged in Monday Morning Crash
Lawyers Road collision sent another driver to hospital with life-threatening injuries
A Reston driver was charged with reckless driving Monday after an early morning accident on Lawyers Road.
Fairfax County Police Department spokesman Don Gotthardt said officers were called at 6:57 a.m. for a two-car crash in the 11900 block of Lawyers Rd. in Reston, near St. John Neumann Church.
The circumstances of the crash were not immediately available, but Gotthardt said he was told it was a head-on collision.
The driver of the 1999 Mercedes was transported via medevac to a local hospital, initially with life-threatening injuries, Gotthardt. As of 3:30 p.m., the injuries had been upgraded to non-life threatening.
The driver of the other vehicle, Sietta A. Peal, 41, of Reston, was charged with reckless driving.
