The whole family can welcome fall bright and early Saturday at the fourth annual Anthem Great Pumpkin 5K and Kids Pumpkin Dash at Reston Town Center.

The 5K is a traditional race, but walkers, joggers and runners are all welcome.

The Kids Pumpkin Dash, which starts at 9:45 a.m., is a straight shot down Market Street - and the kids usually wear their Halloween costumes, so it is a lot of fun for parents to watch. For registration info, click here.

Adults want to don costumes too? Then they should take part in the Pumpkin Smash Mile - a non-timed, mile long run for costumed entrants. Participants with the best costumes will be awarded prizes and honored by the Smash Mile committee.

The events all benefit the YMCA Fairfax County - Reston.
