The place to be on St. Patrick's Day is downtown Herndon, with the winner of our Readers' Choice poll O'Sullivan's. 

O'Sullivan's, with its Irish staff members, Irish specialties and Irish beverages, took more than 50 percent of the vote in this week's Readers' Choice. Jimmy's Old Town Tavern followed pretty close behind with about 36 percent of the vote, however the two establishments are so close it's easy to visit both on St. Patrick's Day.

St. Patrick's Day marks the second anniversary of O'Sullivan's, which opened in the spring of 2010 in downtown Herndon. Specialties include Guinness Stew, bangers and mash, shepherd's pie and corned beef and cabbage.
