RCA Honors Nick Brown as Citizen of the Year

Longtime volunteer gets Reston Citizens Association award.

Nick Brown was awarded the Reston Citizens Association's Citizen of the Year award in a ceremony at Reston Community Center at Hunters Woods on Monday.

Brown was nomintated by Reston Interfaith volunteer manager Mandy Guernsey. 

Brown is a scientist who has volunteered for years for a variety of organizations, including the Cub Scouts, the South Lakes Band Boosters, Hunters Woods Fellowship House,  local and regional science fairs, Reston Interfaith, the Reston Swim Team Association and the Lake Anne Elementary PTA.

In his acceptance speech,  Brown urged Restonians to address the plight of low-income seniors in the community.
