Thursday is the last day to register for this weekend's doubles tennis tournament.

Reston Tennis Director Mary Conaway says this is the first year Reston Association will host charity tournaments. Another event, Rally for Cure (June 24-26) will benefit the American Cancer Society.

"The tennis committee has been working hard at getting sponsors," said Conaway. "We've also had people in the community donating prizes. And the kids at [Reston Interfaith's] er designed the T-shirts, so they are really excited about that."
Among the raffle items: tickets to the US Open, a tennis racquet, gift cards to local restaurants and a tennis ball signed by Andre Agassi.
