Prince William Break-Ins Similar to Fairfax Incidents

Method, items stolen much like 87 incidents in Fairfax since August.

Has the Fairfax County burglar moved over to Prince William County?

Maybe. Prince William County Police said Wednesday they are investigating 14 incidents - burglaries, attempted burglaries and larcenies from vehicles – that  occurred in the Haymarket are Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Entry appeared to have been gained through unlocked doors, windows or vehicles, police said. In at least two of the reported incidents, entry into the residence was attempted but unsuccessful. Purses and money were targeted.

The method and the items stolen are similar to the string of incidents in Fairfax County, where one suspect may be responsible for at least 87 incidents being investigated by police from the Reston, Fair Oaks, Mason, Sully and McLean areas. Community meetings were held last week in Oakton and Fairfax Station to answer residents' questions about the string of burglaries.
